Was omitted from squad photo and G/K coach took charge of friendly v Leeds XI last night. Doesn't look good.

Shame. I thought him going there would work out well for both parties. He was always excellent at bringing players through and a club FGR's size really needs that.

Strange time to get rid of your manager he didn't have a good season last season but if it was that surley it would be sorted at the end of the season. If they couldn't agree a budget for the summer sulrey that would have come to a head a few weeks ago.

He has resigned as the board have cut the budget by two thirds apparently

http://www.thefootballforum.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=171943

edit - according to the FGR forum they think JH applied for the Cambridge job last season and since then his heart hasn't really been with it at FGR. They seem a bit shocked but not to down beat. one fell even says at least we wont keep hearing " the players are tired". Still using the same excuses I see.

If he has resigned due to the budget shame he didn't do it at the end of the season he could have gone for the Burton job.

Shocked to hear this news, but continue to have total respect for the guy.

We talk of legends on SVs, for me he's partially responsible for our current position and will remain a legend in my eyes.

I've no doubt others will disagree.

He has been linked with a few conference clubs better than forest green makes you wonder if the reson he didnt get the jobs was because forest green would be due compensation now he is out i would think he would get another job fairly quickly.

Sacked for going for the Cambridge job without telling FGR while still under contract to them, that's the breach of contract the BBC refer to.

Seems there has been a power struggle one of the directors was meant to be leaving if Ling came in but hasn't (have they got previous?). It is thought this Director might now go and Ling comes back if not put your money on JH turning up there.

He would need to bring a lot better quality players than the x Morecambe brigade down there at the moment as Cambridge are going for promotion.

so now Rolls has messed about with Liam Daish Alan Lewer and Martin Ling
I think anyone going in there needs to be very wary of Mr Rolls
Lewer is suing for breach of contract apparently according to the NLP
