Squad Numbers

Squad Numbers

Postby The Red Knight » Thu Jul 23, 2009 11:52 am

Does anyone know when the squad numbers for this year are going to be announced?

I'm going to guess that Moss will be 2, Wilson 3, Jevons 10 and Craney 14.

Maybe Henry McStay and Danny Adams will get lower numbers as well.

Jevons 10, Craney 12 I think.

Assuming the current squad keep the numbers they have got, the available numbers are:
2, 3, 10, 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28, 29 up to Scott Davies at 30.

You are probably right with your guess Red Knight but I think Dannys shirt accomodates "25" the best

Nobody has seemingly wanted the No.13 shirt in recent years. It has normally been a goalkeeper. Who can name the last 3 goalies to wear the No.13?

And who was the last outfield player to have the shirt?

last three keepers I will guess at:-

Matthew Gregorie (he didn't have much luck)
Steve Mac (when we were short of keepers the other season)
Lewis Edge

Well done Harry yes he wore No.13., as did Scott Davies before he got No.30. Scott has now worn 13, 30 and 12 - is this a record?

No wonder Les gets confused

He is'nt mentioned on the list, nor on the website.

I for one will be glad when we get back to squad numbers with names on again as these friendlies have just confused us. At Kendal we had to rely on Scotty roaring the name "Rory get out" and the deluge just made it worse, I did'nt work out Doherty on the far left wing till he scored :?

"Jevons 10, Craney 12 I think."

On the MFC website, Jevons gets 14, Craney 15 so we were all wrong

That means Fraser will get a different number

My Asian friends tell me that 13 is a very lucky number.
Hence Park wears it for Man.U.
Does anyone know if Mr Craney is influenced by our Eastern cousins?.

Well that has just destroyed everything in the thread, not only were we wrong, then we thought we were right, it turns out we were all wrong anyway. And just to add insult we've got an outfield No.13. Les tells me he's got a headache

p.s. Ian Dunbavin not here?

Just hope IC isn't too worried about having the No13 on his back.

A squad of 23 seems a lot in todays financial worries.

I was thinking that thought we would be at 21/22 so room for a couple of loans in the season.

and we still have two trialists with us so could be more.
