Having read todays visitor and seeing a Morecambe fan convicted of racially abusing a child at christie park, i wonder what our fans think, should the club make a further stand against this type of thing, or should he be allowed to come back to the new stadium in three years and sit or stand next to his victim

i got told the asian child, called the Morecambe man found guilty a pedophile provoking a reaction, off the man in question
but still he could/should have dealt with the situation better

And that was emphatically denied in court.
Just be careful what you say on this topic, it was a case dealt with in court. There are laws about the identification of minors involved in court cases and about making comments about how the case was dealt with or, indeed, possibly defamatory remarks about anyone else involved, including the person convicted.

The chap in question had a few too many to drink at the time, and don't believe the quote "I've not been in trouble for years". Just means hes not been caught in years.
This chap is an idiot and someone the club has every right to distance themselves from. Three years is too short, should be a life ban.
If I was his employer I'd been looking at sacking him too, hope his employer takes the same action.
There is no room for this sort of behaviour in todays current equal oppurtunties workplace.
Anyone know where he works so we can start a petition?

Sorry chaps. Too close to legalities this one.
We will all have views on this.
One thing we all agree on is that racial abuse has no place in society, never mind football.
Feel free to discuss how to get rid of racism, but not individuals please.
