Tonight at Kendal

A much better performance against a team eager to show their manager what they can do.

For the first 10 or so it was all kendal but then we settled and started to move the ball artound with purpose. Twiss had a mazey run so typical of the guy on a good day which was finished off by Mc.

After a couple of goal attempts trialist Doherty finally had one chalked to his name and on the stroke of H/T Taylor scored with a well placed shot from 20 yards to make it 3-0.

The second half saw a number of subs for both teams. Kendal pulled one back that their enthusiasm deserved. With 20 to go the heavens opened and thunder and lightning accompanied the sheer wall of rain that made a mockery of the game. Taylor got his secong and with 5 minutes to go, the referee finally saw sence and calleda halt to the game.

A good following from Morecambe left probably releaved that last seasons 5-1 reverse drubbing had been forgotten but still worried that we need at least 1 new striker. it appears that Chadwick has been released but there could be news on the transfer front in the near future.

Overall a good workout but still a lot for Sammy and Mark to work on before the start of the season

A big improvement on the previous performances for sure, Doherty looks a useful player with a good turn of pace hopefully we will see him play again on Saturday, Taylor again proved that he is a good finisher but still looks a bit light weight, After a slow start Twiss came to life and skipped past a couple of defenders to set up Fraser, that seemed to give him a boost and he then went on to have a decent game.

Pity the heavens opened to spoil the last part of the game, i had to wade through six inches of water to get to my car which was parked at the top of a hill, still it was an enjoyable night.

This is why people should stop worrying about recent performances, we have players out injured, and players to come in on loan.

he showed a few good touches last saturday what impressed me, he could give us good balance on the left in attack with Duffy on the other side, both look tricky and run at defenders

hope he plays a full game on saturday

good performance tonight, doherty looked particularly lively.Twiss had a good game, thought they were a bit physical in the tackle and as the game went on some of our lads pulled out of them to avoid injury
a much better performance than last year

I don't think it's so much that people are worried by recent results in pre-season. Just that fans need to know at this time of year that the club is going forward in the right direction. The loan signings of Craney and Jevons will give evryone a massive lift. Craney is the attacking midfielder we have been searching for for a long time now. Jevons experience will see us pick up points in games that are tight. When Drummie and the others get back we will be on track now.
