i thought he did a pretty good job upfront tonight, held the ball up fairly well and always looked to bring other players into play

and against top opposition, and a lot of positives to be taken from the team tonight

You can't read too much into tonights game v Premiership opposition all of whom are out to impress their manager and looking to be on the team sheet come their first game in the Premiership.

Whilst we were not outplayed their levels of creativity and inter play were good. Having said that Duffy really showed that with further full time training that he could be a valuable asset to our team.

We always knew that the striker situation has still to be resolved and whilst neither trialists set the world on fire let's remember that they were up against a well drilled defence fresh from a successful season in the Championship. The jury is still out and both deserve at least a couple of more games before we make a judgement on either. Southport on Thursday should be a further opportunity to impress.

The new boys at the back impressed as did Hanson in midfield.

Plenty of time to reolve certain issues but all in all tonights test did what it was intended to do.

Think CC has it fairly spot on :o

I thought Duffy did really well tonight giving us some much needed creativity and trying to put a number of crosses in.

Not convinced either striker was really better than what we have but they were ok and we will have to see how they do in other games but Iwouldn't say they are the answer to our problems.

I also thought Danny Adams, Roche and Fraser did very well.

Agree with the above and thought that it was a very good workout for both teams. MOM for me had to be Duffy

Duffy for me too, hopefully he will be starting games this season rather than coming off the bench, and i would'nt be surprised if he does better than Carl Baker, and goes for a big fee at the end of the season.

We had a good ten minute spell in first half but still lacking ideas in final third . Defence was caught with their trousers down a few times cos Burnley had too much time in final third . Thought it was a good finish for our goal and Duffy was our best player and Fraser had good game too. Nice to see a flash of the old Twissy near the end , glad he didn't score though as someone would come on here saying we dont need a striker " Twissy is back " . ...........

P.S . It would be nice to see thogh . ;)
