i am season ticket holder for morecambe, and my son in law is season ticket holder for burnley.
this game will be interesting, i hope we win

Just got back from asda , Just inside the doors is an advertising board for the club as most of you well know. How come it is still thanking people for last years support when surely it should be advertising the burnley friendly. Yes i know its a friendly that sounds like they are going to play everybody bar the kit man but still there is revenue to be made from a decent crowd and every form of advervtising should be explored.

The board just before Skerton Bridge has been advertsing the game for a few days now.

Do you really think thats an ideal place to advertise ? about 40foot up a building on a busy intersection heading into lancaster. So as i was saying how difficult is it to change the board at Asda where thousands of people walk past every day ?

Yes how many people drive past that every day loads of people will see it.

Does anyone remember the banners that used to be tied up on lamposts on the shrimp roundabout, advertising each home game

Forced to remove by the council as a Safety issue I believe. Too much strain put onto the poles could have resulted in the poles falling down (on top of motors?)

Maybe Sainsburys don't want us to advertise there!

Did you print off any of the posters from SVs for other games, to do your bit with regards to advertising?

We are all guilty of expecting others to do something and then mouthing off when nothing is done!

CC i did print off the official posters towards the latter end of last season after asking for them earlier in the year, and posted them in my local area and at work. Prior to that my daughter who is far better on a computer than i am made some of her own which were also posted .

Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but aren't we still a small club only able to employ a comparitively low level of commercial staff? I believe that those who are employed by our club will do as much as they possibly can, so surely it shouldn't be too much to ask for us, the supporters, to help out in any small way possible. Initiatives such as posters should give us the satisfaction that we are doing our bit for our local football club, by spreading the word - just like we do when we wear replica shirts which, ironically, we are more than happy to pay up to £40 for!!!

Sammy, stop with the personal jibes, CC stop poking him back or an important discussion will be locked.

On the BBC sports website under the fixture heading our game against Burnley is not listed, yet the game away at Southport on Thursday is, Does the club have to contact the BBC to tell them about friendly games or is it just a mistake by the BBC ?.
