Burton away game

Postby Posh » Wed Jul 08, 2009 8:22 am

As regulars will know we're planning something for the Burton game. If you did read the earlier thread and want to contribute or want to know more please PM me for details.

Thanks for everyone's contributions so far, I've received £130 but a fair bit to go.

Yeah. We're all going dressed as you.

Cap, glasses, specs - hmmm sounds remarkably like someone else.

P.S. Have you got a wall to walk on or some noodles to eat?

A big thank you to Alan and Sam; Wondershrimp; Heysham MFC; and Marky No. 1 (although I haven't picked up the envelope yet) for the donations I received yesterday which takes us up to around £170 - roughly half way there.

Much appreciated. See me at the Burnley game if you want to donate or PM me.

Not actually eaten any noodles yet. Great Wall tomorrow (up at 6am! :o  :o )

It's bloody hot and humid...

A quick update on the Burton game.

I collected money from Christie's Child; Marky No. 1; P/T Indie; Bare Bum; Bare Bum's lovely missus Cath; Outsider; and in my complete ignorance I forgot the username of the other person who kindly handed me a tenner (could you let me know sorry!). Thank you to each and every one of you. I've also got another £40 promised which takes us to £230.

This leaves us £120 short. However there were 11 promises on the old thread so if everyone comes good then I'll put some more in for the difference.

Anyone who wants to make a donation please let me know by PM.

Cheers

Posh

PM him mate - it's not MI5 but we'd like to keep it a bit quiet for better impact.
Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

Evening all. One good thing to come out of Saturday's game was the generosity of so many fans.

I got money from the following:

Blackburn Shrimp - thanks Ian and thanks for trying to get cheaper quotes
Martin - I'll sort the cheque out tomorrow
David 'Aldcliffe Computers / Tribal' - Terrible description, top supporter
Sardines on Tour
Hodgie - who won't even be at the game
Morecambe Mick
Gnasher
Vinny
Freez
Mark S
Curly
and Seagie

We're £15 short, including some extra Shrimper funds, but I've got a couple of promises so should be fine.

Thank you very much everyone!

Should we not all have our usernames on show? As we have saved the Club from making up any deficit maybe we should all get free travel and a Christmas Card  Over to you Mark
