Not a great deal but it's the loss of another revenue steam.

Of more concern going forward must be the news that Travelodge have opted for a town centre location rather than take up the space earmarked for a hotel at the Westgate development. With Planning Permission already granted for a hotel at Westgate, it would appear that this wasn't enough to sway the day.

Let's hope that Premier Lodge or A N Other will look at Westgate with a more favourable eye.

Hope Travellodge don't get planning permission for a town centre location.

What else are we going to get? You might not like them but they're value for money, usually full and have such crap food that guests go out of the hotel to eat. They could apply for planning permission to build on the Winter Gardens site.

I understood that we did quite well out of Rovers as we got paid rent and then all the gate receipts. It will be a fairly big chunk of income we will loose.

Intresting comment at the end about when the new stadium opens will Blackburn be the opening game?

by Blackburn shrimp
will less games be called off now that midweek reserves wont be taking place and the loss of revenue that goes with it. The pitch was preaty screwed at the end of the season hence the crappy last game

Providing we don't have to cut back due to the build costs being higher than projected, I've no doubt that our new ground will compare favourably with not only Leigh but also that of the Shrews.

Leigh's is an all seater but lacks the additional facilities surrounding the stadium itself.
