I have read the article and have noticed they have made a major geographical error by saying he spent years on the Fylde Coast. :o

When I last looked at a map we are part of Morecambe Bay.

Just another case of lazy journalism.

Thought he might have gone into the conference so a bit suprised with that one.

However do his family live down that way?

Apparently the Club is owned by Catherine Zeta Jones' Uncle 8-)

Michael is in the squad to face Motherwell in Europe :)

From the phrasing "has joined the Europa cup squad", it sounds like a short term contract. A lot of the Irish/Welsh clubs involved in the very early rounds of European competitions take on temporary players due to the ties being so far in advance of their league starting back.

That is the wording in the paper that said he was playing on the "Fylde Coast". The Club website says "delighted to have captured the signing of Howard as it adds another " Class Player" to the Reds squad and shows that the club fully intend to regain their Championship Crown" which indicates it is for at least a season?

Ineed he is I think he could have still done a job for us as we are looking a bit light on the left back/wing back position

Surprised by that, Mick. I'd have thought it was pretty understandable.

He had been out injured for a long time.
Andy Parrish still has a year on his contract so we either keep him as cover for Danny or we pay him off (which costs money).
You may say you'd prefer Micky to him but that's irrelevant, it's all about who's on a contract and who isn't. Would you gamble on paying a few grand to release Parrish then putting Micky on a contract (which has to be paid), with his injury record? I wouldn't.

I liked Micky H but I wouldn't choose him instead of Danny Adams and when you have to work to a budget, something has to give.
Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

For a minute I thought this thread was going to say he'd signed for Chester!
Good luck, I'm sure he'll do well.

Llanelli's Stuart Jones, Rhys Griffiths and Michael Howard have all been yellow carded by Finnish referee Tero Nieminen for poor challenges in a heated game. :o

A bad start for Gim Gannon at Motherwell I was suprised he didn't end up back at Stockport but I suppose he couldn't wait forever for them to get sorted.

Great start for Michael the defence keeping a clean sheet.

If last season or more so the end of last season is anything to go by yhen Danny Adams was playing as part of a three man centre defensive partnership with Yatesy and Wainwright as the wing backs and in my opinion Michael is much better in that position than Wainwright so Dannys posiotion does not come into question, simple fact is Sammy is boss and as usual his decisions will prove the right one i am sure of that, best of luck Michael and thanks for your loyal service
