Part 1.
November 1996, Friday afternoon, just like any other Friday afternoon in Gods great garden, looking forward to a busy weekend. My phone rang and it was a member of the impressario Paul Dainty's staff, Hi Wayne I've been given your number by Pee Wee Ferris (Oz D.J.) we are womdering if we can borrow some of your students to go to the World premier of Michael Jacksons movie (sorry can't remember the title) with him. They will go to the movies with Michael and just watch the movie with him (and the rest of the world and Oz media) and we will bus them in and out again with their parents.
Funnily enough I have a rehearsal with 12 kids that night so I sent the kids into the rehearsal room and asked their parents if they wanted to be a part of this. They all jumped at the chance so I made the arrangements and off they went.
I sent my sister in law as our company rep, her son and daughter were part of it.
I was home watching T.V and I saw on the news Michael arriving at the Cinema on George St. Our kids were there and as Michael and our kids got out of his limo the crowd surged and a couple of our kids were knocked over. 1 of them being Nikki Webster (Olympic 2000 ceremony hero girl, and Christian Patterson, Lead role in 2007 Cirque du soleill show Delirium.
