Taylor agrees new Morecambe deal

Striker Aaron Taylor has agreed a new one-year contract with Morecambe.

The 19-year-old made 18 appearances for the Shrimpers this season, 10 as a substitute, scoring four goals.

One of those came on his full debut against Rochdale in October 2008 and he netted a brace in the FA Cup first-round win over Grimsby in November

"Aaron did very well for us last year and showed that he is a natural goalscorer," boss Sammy McIlroy told the club website.

"He has an excellent instinct and I am sure he will continue to develop this season and become even better."

thank you BBC...

Even though giving aaron another year at the club is a good thing in my opinion we need at least two more strikers with experience or we will struggle next season

Would of liked a 2/3yr deal at that age, but I guess everyone will just get 1yr deals at this time.

Would have opted for a two year deal personally but glad he's staying on with us.

I hope Taylor gets a regular spot on the bench and features even more next season.
