Season tickets went on sale for the fans of the newest Premiership club and the town went mad yesterday. I was speaking to one guy yesterday evening who joined the queue before 6am and was still outside in the street 9 hours later eventually getting his ticket just after 4pm. There were still thousands in the queue when the ticket office closed. The police had to be called to quell unrest from some who had been stood there all day without getting a ticket. Apparently some were buying multiple tickets for friends and neighbours literally handing over thousands of pounds in cash.

It looks like the 8,000 tickets available will sell out in 2 days, with 7,000 free tickets being given to those who had tickets last season.

Reading the Accy forum they are upset that Burnley don't appear to be making their pre season visit because of the loss of revenue. The fixture normally draws in excess of 3,000 and with the unprecedented mania surrounding Burnley they'd have probably filled the place.

Burnley are going to Chester for a friendly and I was hoping that we might get one against them but it appears not. I think with the interest in them at the moment we really would have had to move into the Umbro and leave the rest to them. Carlisle and Bratfud talk about it  but Burnley at the mo would really have been an invasion.

Ah well just wait till we make it into the Premiership we've all this to look forward to.
