Morecambe v Barrow.

Morecambe v Barrow.

Wouldn't it be great if this pre season friendly could be dedicated to Wayne and he could benefit from the proceeds. I'm not a great fan of pre-season friendlies but would definitely be over for this one if it was for Waynaldos benefit. This more than any other game would seem appropriate and with Barrow usually bringing a good few down it could really boost his fund.

I don't know about the politics or finance involved behind such decisions but it just seems that if this game was advertised as being for Wayne then a decent crowd well in excess of a thousand would be there.

Barrow is usually an away game, with them being the lower placed league side. But it would appear we are playing at home.

TBH WADR to Barrow, we should have someone better for his testimonial to bring the punters in.

Ever thought that maybe this is the game that Wayne wanted himself?

It crossed my mind, but as he's an avid Man United fan, I'm sure he'd prefer a United XI than one who are a league lower, who he's played for, and who really won't draw the crowds in. A testimonial is a special game to draw the punters in, not a low key friendly against substandard opposition.

I thought an agreement was in place that meant the pre-season game between ourselves alternates between Chritsie and Holker each season?
