Adam Yates update and bits and pieces

Accy forum is suggesting that we are after Craney (ex Stanley and now Huddersfield) Cavanagh and Ryan, in addition to Charnock.

All roads lead to Macc in our search for a striker evidently.

Well if the Ogdens did come and play for us, at least Uncle Ken could be sure they'd
enter his "ballbag tombola" each week, to try and win the vouchers!!!!

All roads lead to Macc?? Where has this come from CC? When we played there the other week I couldn't see any Macc player who would remotely be of interest to anyone other than perhaps a Unibond League club. In saying that I do remember they had one or two out on the day including a striker. Can't remember his name though.

I suggest you ask Twiss_fan_club where he got his info from who posted on the Fans Forum that we are after Macc's leading scorer for the past season Gareth Evans.

All I did / do is keep SV's up to date with postings on other forums that suggest that we are after any Tom, Dick or Harry......and I 'll continue to do so!

I've seen that on one of the Mac forums.

Evans is their leading scorer , with a decent number of goals and is stalling on his contract offer.

sounds like another Blinkhorn to me.

id rather us just go for free signings and then spend ALL what we do have on a proven striker

....has been on the team sheet for 55 league games at Macc....and scored 19 goals last season.

How many league games did Blinks appear on the team sheet? More importantly how many goals did Blinks score in all too few appearances?

Blinks was too injury prone unfortunately.

1 goal every 3 games ratio would make him a good signing for us.

Evans would be a decent signing imo.

19 goals : 55 starts isn't bad at all and lets not forget that he was playing in a fairly poor team but still got 13 goals which is more than our top goalscorer got last season. Taking into account that he's only 21, I think he could be a decent signing as one of 2 new strikers.

Can't seem to decide can they? It seems to be between Micky Adams and John Ward? - So it will be back to dean Glover then!

Apparently neither of the prospective managers will agree terms until they have actually got the job!
