Hope we get some different friendlies this season instead of the same old barrow and tranmere - maybe if burnley get into premiership on Monday that could be a decent game to get

It's been a few years since we played Blackpool. We could give Ollie a warm welcome! 8-)

It's about time Sammy used his contacts at Old Trafford to get us a pre-season game against Manchester United. Even if it's only the reserves, think of the local armchair fans it would get through the gate. I bet we'd get more through the gate than we would for a high profile league game.

id like Celtic at CP, the following they have it possibly would be a full house, = ££££££ in gate receipts

and there's a fair chance we could pull off a win, the SPL is a absolute Joke compered to the rest of Europe, it as no intrest, and bores me immensely

What's boring about a title race which goes to the final match of the season? The lead has changed hands five times so far.

In comparison to the main European Leagues:

Spain - Barcelona 10 points clear with 2 matches remaining
Italy - Inter Milan 10 points clear with 2 matches remaining
Portugal - Porto 6 points clear with 1 match remaining
Holland - AZ finished 11 points clear

And for a league that's of similar quality to the SPL:

Greece - Olympiacos finished 8 points clear

As for the relgation battle any team from Falkirk, Inverness, St Mirren and Hamilton can go down on the final day.

I actually think that if you took the Old Frim aside the Scottish division is quite interesting, more so than the English Premier. So unpredictable that I've had some potentially good bets burnt by Hibs it is untrue. How a team that can give both Rangers and Celtic a run for their money, yet also lose to the likes of Falkirk is beyond me.

For me, the most exciting league to be involved in at the moment is the Championship. Money bags Wolves aside, the games I saw on Sky this season gave the impression that everybody else was of a similar standard.

well for me, the only exiting thing in the SPL, was when Sir AF won the SPL and broke the monopoly up for a few yrs in the early 80s

there was talk again about making two divisions each with 18 teams just playing twice a season home & away, you only have to look at Celtic and Rangers, they live in a bubble, and get knocked out in the early stages of the champions league, most seasons, due to the SPL being very unfair/unbalanced

i sure as hell hope the old firm don't EVER become part of the English Prem, although am all up for getting rid of the league cup over all borders and having a British cup with all teams thrown into the hat, and not just Celtic & Rangers this cup would have huge potential

I think that Chester City journo is taking the mickey. That article is so tongue in cheek it's untrue.

Unless it's actually serious and they don't realise how ironic they're being.

Nobody wants to play us pre season    .......'just in case they get humiliated....

Seriously, the pre-season games are usually known by now. After all it's only 5 and a bit weeks before the return, by popular demand  of my much loved  pre-season training updates. ;) ;) ;)

Everything is sorted and primed ready for action. Including an ex military camouflage suit in XXXXL (should that be 5X's  ) so that I don't need to hide behind bushes anymore...as well as an extra long lens for my box brownie camera.

*esus I'm bored!!!!!!!!!!!#

You missed out the German league that went down to the wire there was a different leader every week and up to 6 teams were in with a shout and at one point it looked like the league could be decided on goal difference. However Wolfsberg had a good run in the last 3 weeks and won 5v0 twice in their last two games to seal it. (and then the manager left, very strange)

So that's Huddersfield then, maybe the Lills connections at work  He must be so proud of his son Josh signing a contract extension for Scunthorpe in the Championship ;)
