Just off to William Hill's O/T

Big bet on Norway - very short odds but an absolute cert (in my mind).

May put an each way on Ukraine just in case it's as rigged as usual.

What do you think??

Congratulations Glen. You're like a puppet on a string to the bookies, they'll tell you all kinds of everything. I think you're a bit Diggi-Loo Diggi-Ley if you ask me putting money on a non-former Soviet block country.

P.S. If anyone can find room in a witty retort for "Fångad av en stormvind" then you'll have my greatest respect.

UK odds have been tumbling, 40/1 a couple of weeks ago. The best high street price you can now get is 12/1. Listening to a radio show last night, apparently some eurovision expert mentioned that the Russians have told everyone to vote for us.

Sorry, you'll have to find your own retort for "caught in a stormwind"
Mind you, Eurovision is more of a storm in a tea cup

Have a look here for some funny swedish/english idiom translations.

My mate gave me evens on UK finishing outside the top 4. It went right down to the last vote in the end but proved a shrewd bet.

Anyone see last years winner get his coat stuck in his wires at the start? That's what we watch Eurovision for!

This year I have been mostly lumping on Belgium.

They were 40/1 yesterday but are now down to 14s in most places.
Still worth a punt if you can get each way (a couple are doing better odds but 'win only').

Even coming in 2,3 or 4 your each way stake will return better than a straight win punt on the runaway favourites, Azerbaijan, who have put a lot of money into marketing their entry, desperate to host the event next year.

I'll leave it with you.

I can't help thinking that too many people on here know too many eurovision song titles!!
I'm off to have a word with Dorothy to see if she's heard of you.

I think it should be the stock phrase on the Magic Bus with Freez driving, after he's had a curry and chips the night before.

Sorry Bro', couldn't resist the posh set-up !

Hope you haven't tried to cheat on the multi-cultural nibbles by just canvassing the Walkers World Cup crisp flavours. Roast Beef and Y******** pud aside, they are all pretty gash. Stay away from the Spanish variety. They smell really bad, as do the French ones....but thats nothing new!
