Players and their agents talk to many clubs in the close season looking for the best financial deal in most cases.

I think he plays left wing too which would be useful.

deal agreed, set to sign 2 year contract, looks like we were a bit slow off the mark with that 1

Were we slow of the mark? or maybe we just didnt want / or couldnt afford.

There will be hundreds of players that sign for other clubs this summer, we are not slow off the mark for all of them!!! Cant comment of individual moves - I would of liked KE to join, but I am not the manager!!

Before we criticise for being slow we should wait and see what squad looks like day 1 next season

I think Sammy "bombed" Ellison out of Stockport when he was manager there so I don't think he will have been trying to sign him.

I would much prefer Ryan Lowe and Lawrence Wilson from Chester.

I'm sure Ellison would have gone really well at Christie Park, after stamping on Danny Adams head at The Deva last season.

A big lumbering ox with a temper, a decent head and a reasonable eye for goal. Lowe is the better player.

He was also lucky not to get sent off when we played them at Christie Park in our first season in League 2. I doubt he would have been a popular choice with the squad or fans and I very much doubt he was even close to being on Sammy's radar.
