MFC Bus model version?

Someone at work is advertising model versions of the Bring me Sunshine bus as below.

I wonder if there will be a model MFC bus

Have you seen the "Morecambe and Wise" Stagecoach bus on its journeys round Lancaster and Morecambe?

If yes, and you would like to own a 1:76 scale model of it then you now have the opportunity.

They have just been released for sale and are a limited edition of 1200 so demand will be high.

And now for the "technical bit", the models are 1:76 Alexander ALX400 bodied Dennis Tridents depicting the celebratory vinyl of "Bring Me Sunshine" - ref UKBUS 1042, and are a product of Creative Master Northcord Ltd, Hong Kong.

They come complete with the tissue that they were despatched from Hong Kong in which means that the exact serial number is not known, however it should be within the first 125 produced.

i keep seeing that advert, a limited edition of 1200??? there's something like 50 odd thousand people in morecambe, same again in lancaster, how many of them would really want a model bus?

if they sold a dozen at that price i'd be pretty impressed. i think the club would sell more of the MFC bus, but still in the dozens and i can't see anybody making a run that small!

You will be surprised at just how many model buses are collected and sold. There is even a 16-page supplement about model buses with lots and lots listed for sale in this month's 'Buses' magazine of which I have been an avid (some may say sad) reader since 1962.

Bit O/T, so apologies.
Isn't there a vintage bus rally at Carnforth Railway Station on Whit Sunday?
I'm out of the area now, so don't know.
But if it's on it's a really good day out for anoraks and families alike.
There's free (donations welcomed) bus rides on vintage buses across to Kirkby Konsdale, Milnthorpe, Morecambe and Lancaster.
Plus Carnforth Railway Station Heritage Centre will be throbbing with bus and train enthusiasts.
Lots to see and do..
Like I say I'm not sure whether it's on or not this year.

I would guess you still have every single copy, Mike? In a folder (each), kept out of the sunshine. ;)
