Great start! 9 minutes in. "Fantastic free kick from Twiss, Drummie nipped in front of his marker to head home"

If Dagenham win today, it means we can no longer make the playoffs :(

1-1. "...the Morecambe defence were sure Moxley was off side but the flag stayed down"

We always get robbed in Exeter, remember Sean O'Conner scoring after being literally 5ft on side only to be ruled off side? Now they are scoring from off side positions and being allowed them

Not that it matters, Notts County losing 0-2 to Daggers.

Complete turn around at half time, Exeter all over us after their lucky break. Now 2-1 after a 20 yard shot beat Roach at his near post. Watch Notts County score next

It's unbelievable really though, that we are where we are. If we can sign 4 or 5 quality players in the summer then god knows what could happen next year. Chins up, we want to save our promotion for next year anyway, going into league 1 in our new stadium ;)

2-2! Twiss "with a lovely cross in" Drummie volley! 12 minutes for Notts County to get two?

2-2 full time. Excellent point and sounds like we were unlucky not to win. Play off no longer mathematically possible with Daggers winning. Next week is there for fun and celebration of an excellent second season, well done the lads!

Excellent point and excellent season.

A top half finish guaranteed for the second time. It's a great achievement considering our position just 3 months ago.

Actually, by the sounds of it, Twissy was fairly dire. He provided the assist for the first goal but Mark and Quinny commented that his performance was a continuation to the last couple of games. Sounds like he was uninterested for much of the match and was presented with a chance to touch a curtis shot into the net but just didnt make the effort to get there.

All of that was probably due to the clear chance he fluffed at the start of the game.
I still think he's useful but he's a confidence player who has none at the moment unfortunately.

Well as you weren't there CC you'll have to take Mark and Quinny's word for it. They described his guilt edged missed as a short summary of his season. A confident Twissy would have no doubt buried that chance, but since gaining promotion I think that commodity has been greatly lacking (not helped by a loss of pace).

I've no doubt in his ability at this level. He badly needs a good pre-season so that he can hit the ground running in the next campaign.

I did post yesterday that Exeter do things the hard way! Well done to all who travelled down there. I was hoping even before today that Morecambe would make the play offs. What a great run of results you have had though in the second half of the season. Automatic promotion form.

That doesn't translate as being 'uninterested for much of the match' in my book.

Mark and Quinny's words from Morecambe world. They did say that Twiss played like he did v Notts and Rotheram. And they mentioned too many times "Twissy not interested", "could have gone for that ball" etc.

Bit of sour grapes by the looks of it - we are just a team of fatties according to one fan and we belong in the conference quite strange comments from a team who have only drawn with us twice this season

I've seen Sammy wind up the opposition fans many times this season, he seems to do it quite easily. However they have all deserved it. The typical routine goes; fans take the piss out of sammy; morecambe score, sammy reacts to the opposition fans that have been abusing him, opposition fans spit their dummies out. When we score it's not an easy decison whether to follow the scorer or sammy

I think you'll find he provided the assist for the first TWO goals...

Oh, so that will be both of them then...

Have a read of Gnet not Exeweb. Tends to be, shall we say a more measured viewpoint.
