At the end of the day its Sammy's decision to make so what ever we think is neither here or there, and im not having a go at you for starting this thread, but maybe its better to discuss individual players after they have left the club.

Are you having a giraffe? This is a Morecambe FC discussion board. If we don't discuss Morecambe FC players, what's the point of the board? This is exactly the place to discuss them. If they choose to read the board, that's up to them. They're professional footballers in the public eye and as such will stimulate debate about them. If they didn't want to be talked about, they should get an office job and remain anonymous.

Well again this is just my opinion if a player pulls on the shirt and gives 100% for the team then they deserve a bit of respect. Yes its up to the players if they look at this forum, but its not exactly good for their confidence is it having their own fans highlighting their deficiencies.

He has a contract to June 2010 so the answer to the question posed is STAY.

He's been a good player for us, mainly in his formative years here, but for me, I don't think he cuts the mustard anymore, yet someone younger and up and coming, would be better value.

keep him he missed for the half of the season, and i would like anybody on here to name any forward/midfielder at our club who's been consistent all season
people are expecting to much off him, he's still adjusting to L2 just like Drummond Hunter Stanley Curtis etc etc

Drummond, adjusting? He's been in League Two since 2004!
I can't see a problem with this thread. Otherwise, what is the point of a forum? It’s not disrespectful to have a discussion.
I think Michael Twiss has possibly been the greatest Morecambe player I've ever seen. Sadly, we haven't seen the best from him for a while. He had a brief revival when he got back into the team but it has, regrettably, fizzled out. There are number of reasons for this I feel:-
1. Natural loss of pace in aging. Previously, he’d need to beat one man with a burst of pace and his skill would do the rest. He can’t beat that first man regularly enough anymore, in my view.
2. Personal issues which, in this case, would be disrespectful to expand upon.
3. Loss of confidence in ability. I can’t remember the last time I saw him have a go from outside the box, which used to be his forte.
Also, I feel that, in the prime of his career, Twissy was woefully mismanaged by Sammy. 2004/2005, Twissy’s debut season, he was played as an out and out striker and produced 27 goals. When Sammy replaced Jim in November 2005, he only seldom deployed Twissy as a striker and Twissy’s versatility, I think, went against him, as he was used repeatedly as a wide player or in the hole. Even considering this, the number of goals he scored was impressive. I think it could have been much more if Sammy had better valued him. That’s not really relevant to the discussion, however; just something I’ve thought for a while.
