Occasional updates from Radio East Lancashire. Good job its not an important match. A few updates via a listener to Morecambe World, typing as fast as his little fingers can go!

Teams:

Rotherham: Warrington, Tonge, Sharps, Fenton, Green, Reid, Danny Harrison, Mills, Hudson, Joseph, Ryan Taylor.

Subs: Cann, Broughton, Burchill, Clarke, Jason Taylor.

Morecambe: Roche, Yates, Artell, Bentley, Adams, Duffy, Hunter, Drummond, Howe, O'Carroll, Twiss.

Subs: Edge, Curtis, McLachlan, Parrish, McStay.

nice lineup by SM, but he could be playing 4 4 2 with Duffy n Twiss as wingers or the normal 5 3 2

Like Bradfords second (none) goal, it doesn't matter now. The pen was a pen, it was given.

I don't think we've had a single pen this season, have we?

Apparently, I heard, Cardiff have had 15 pens this season!

May be we need to get in the box more, and make a few claims to make it happen.

Yes we got beat tonight but it was against a top three side points wise they would now have 75 so no disgrace in fact they are one of my favourites for next season - if we can finish top ten that will be great achievement in my opinion

we havent got any pace up front to get any penaltys. its got to be big changes next season up front. we have drawn too many games, and you dont win anything with draws.if we did not have all the fall outs at the begining of the season and sent adam yates out on lone we might of got into the playoffs thats my opinion.lets look to next season and see who sammy brings in and see who he gets rid of.

Its pretty damn hard to attract proven goalscoring strikers at this level to Morecambe I'd imagine. I think our front line isn't too bad but I wouldn't mind us splashing out some cash if a good striker became available.

As for penalties, Rene Howe is the man who gets in the opposition box most and he's a strong lad who is more likely to fight for the ball than go down.

Just got back from the game!!! Thought we played well, they had some fancy football but felt morecambe should have won, rotherham took there chances when we did not...Pen!!! not for me but hey ho how the hell you can see anything in the stadium is a mystery, has to be the worst football stadium in i have been to in this country....

I would give morecambe a 7.5/10

ALL good strikers need service/feeding, and as you said in your own words
I think our front line isn't too bad but

id like a LEFT winger in the summer, as we've already got to Duffy on the other side and Wainwright

a truly shocking referee.

Man of the match O'Carroll . Mark Duffy played well too but lost his man who then crossed for their first goal.

A superb run that has to be built on for next season.

If we have a fault it's being too cautious at times but with more quality in the final third it can only get better.

No complaints.

The ball was played into the area and it looked an easy clearance but Jim and (I think) Drummy, both went as if to clear it. Then both stopped, leaving it for the other and it bounced up and hit Jim's hand.

That's how I saw it anyway from a vantage point that, as Mark S said, was like watching Lancaster City from the train station platform.

The local reporters had binoculars! (Seriously).

Rotherham forum gave Duffy as our MOM with 8 whilst Baz only got 6.

Thought Duffy had a good game and grew into it as it went on. Looking better with each game - as you'd expect from someone getting to grips with a new club and full-time training and looks like he'd be a good signing for next season.
