bloody hell, what have they done to deserve that? Vaughan involved will make them wish George Reynolds was still there. I thought the FA had a 'fit and proper persons' test? After almost destroying Barrow he shouldn't have been allowed near another club. Besides, surely he is still 'too closely involved' with Chester? Unless he recalls all his loans, in which case Chester are screwed.

So how did that work out then?

The whole issue of how clubs are financed needs to be addressed, giving teams a points penalty for entering administration is all good and well but its a bit like shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted, and as a deterrent it doesn't really seem to work.

There needs to be a format for stopping clubs getting into so much debt in the first place, one practice that should be stopped is a owner putting money into a club in a form of a loan from their own company.

This allows them to gamble on success and when it doesn't work sell out leaving the club and new owners in debt, which might be enough to start the downward spiral to administration.

Vaughan flits from club to club leaving each in worse order than when he arrived. Barrow, Chester, Widnes RLFC.

Be afraid Darlo, be very afraid. No matter how bad your current state is, it could still get much, much worse!

Has anyone noticed, if you rearrange the letters in Stephen Vaughans name, take a few away
and add a few, you get "Footballs Grim Reaper"
Anyone else noticed that?
