Police presence

Was surprised to see the number of police as well as those with horses at todays game. Surely Luton didn't have a reputation to warrant the police being there.

Do the club request police with horses or is it up to the police themselves? If they choose to attend do we still have to pay?

So just because no one answered the same questions you asked in this thread:

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3051

You started a new one to get the attention!

Why don't you ring them and ask? Like as if SV readers are going to know!!

Big team potentially dropping out of the league means the police were right to turn out in numbers. If we had won their behaviour might have been different. I remember being steward at Huddersfield Town when I was a student and it got rather nasty when QPR then themseves were relegated towards the end of a season.

I presonally hope Luton beat the drop as they seemed far too good to be a conference club.

Totally agree Mick - the police presence for the bradford game will be the biggest of the season (the game as been moved from the Saturday to the Friday to avoid clashing with Preston v blackpool) still dont understand why its 3.15 kick off and not3.00

Bury v Shrewsbury kicks off at 3 p.m.

Can't be to do with the Trains as there is pretty much one every hour from Bradford, although it does seem to involve 3 changes and a bus trip from Blackburn to Preston 8-)

NO i'm not a trainspotter
