Went 1-0 up and assumed Luton would roll over and die, as soon as we scored the effort and hounding defenders and midfielders completely went. They got a goal after lots of pressure and poor play losing possession in our own half.
Personally I thought Adams and Artell today had the worst game i've ever seen from a league 2 club if not conference level. First 25 minutes were great and we played very good football, then after the goal went in Howe and Twiss went into lazy mode.
Their keeper dropped everything today yet we didn't bother putting any pressure on him with lots of crosses.........because we had no width. The formation we've been playing has been excellent but when teams find it out we get caught out a lot on the wings.

Been a great run which had to come to and end, but i think this is the game to look at when looking to improve next season, a lot of weaknesses could be seen and it was good to see a very similar team to that tha got us promoted.

are you sure you mean Adams and not Bently? Adams had a good game today, was everywhere he was meant to be, his distribution was good and he dug us out of a couple of tight spots!

Artell was aweful, looks like a replay of ian swan coming up!

Well it had to end sometime and to be honest if Luton's win means that they are a wee bit nearer survival then so be it.

Their goal that was ruled out looked OK to us and Sammy thought so in his post match interview with Quinny.

Certainly missed Wainwright on the wing but pleased that Mark D got a run out. Showed enough to make me feel that he could be usefull next season.

My only concern was the lateness of the substitution. Sorry Sammy but 7 minutes isn't enough to influience things. O'Carroll or Taylor should have been on with 20 to go for me.

Good to see Michael Howard involved in a kick about prior to the game.

The 666 from Luton really got behind their team......but why the police presence?

Training for the Bratford game?

I'd be interested to learn who decided the need for police horses as well. Do the club have to pay for them being there even if not requested?

No i definately meant Adams his distribution was absolutely awful, bentleys wasnt much better but at least he did a lot of positive things. I agree with CC which i forgot to post in my original post, ONE SUBSTIUTION AFTER BEING 2-1 DOWN AFTER AROUND 55MINS????????? Whats that about, you have 5 subs on the bench at least use some of them for a decent amount of time.

I suppose they'll have just decided to have more police and police horses just for the fun of it. There can't be any other reason can there? I mean, it's not as though they would have been in contact with other police forces to check on Luton fans behaviour at other matches and therefore decided what was needed, because that would be a complete waste of time wouldn't it?...

(and in case you need it...)

I would have assumed the police horse presence was

to get a dress rehersal in for the Bratfud game, I thought Luton were the dirtiest side ive seen for a while (not bad fouls but cynical trips, pushing and blatent holding off of opponents) and this went largely unpunished by a poor referee, agree the backs all had very poor games today with Artell looking embarassingly inept for 90 mins, thought Gary deserved MOTM and that Wayne and Drummy alos had excellent games, Howe didnt look interested for long periods and Twissy, although having one or two good moves looks to be not good enough for this level of football anymore, to be honest i dont think he ever really recovered from the big injury a couple of years ago, piyt we didnt win, the play offs are now out of the picture realistically i think but in fairness to Luton, after we scored they did look the more competitive of the 2 teams

Twissy's dead ball kick for our goal was the only real quality ball we played all afternoon. The only time we looked like scoring today was from his dead-ball/corner kicks.

i thought we lost it on our left hand side, that's where all the danger seemed to come from Adams & Curtis looked poor

but 2nd half with the pace of Yates & Duffy down the right side looks very promising for future

in the summer like Ive said before signing a left-back should be a priority, i just cant see Howard getting back to full fitness, or Adams losing weight so he can run faster
