I realise the original topic is now locked but if I can just make a comment without upsetting anyone. For those that use the car wash regularly, bear in mind that even premier league supporters are sometimes affected in this way. The FA insist on a higher allocation of tickets being given to away fans for FA Cup ties if demand requires. Thus meaning that a full stand can be allocated to the visiting supporters, when for a league game they would usually only receive say a third of it.
Home supporters (even season ticket holders) then have no choice but to watch the game from another part of the ground instead, if they wish to attend the game.

All very well, but Season Tickets holders still have to buy a ticket for a Cup game as they are only "contracted" to their "seat" for League games

You've missed the point I was trying to make. That the fans are affected & have to move for certain fixtures.

was referring to F.A. Cup ties

Although the Main Stand seats are sold out there are still Bradford tickets available in the South Stand

I'd say it wouldn't be the best idea because it would affect far more Morecambe fans than this proposed move would and, as I'm sure Kev would agree, the club should consider the home fans.

But if there was a good reason for it, I'd put up with it for the one game (even if I disagreed with the decision) because I support the club and I appreciate what the board have done over recent years to not only keep our club running on such low gates but also to guide our progression to a level of football I never dared dream about 20 years ago.

Are you are saying i don't support the club? I asked the question before to someone else, why does it matter how many people are affected?

Kev - you obviously support the club because you've paid money to go to watch games.

I'm saying that in my opinion you're not being fair on the board on this one single issue.

I think if you are prepared to stay away from a game just because of a slight inconvenience then you are putting (in my opinion) your own very minor point of principle ahead of what I would say is the best interests of the club on this one occasion.

But, again, it's only my opinion and that's your prerogative.

On the 'why does it matter how many people are affected?' - if there are two options, one that would mean moving several hundred people and another that would mean moving a couple of dozen then, if the club wants to consider the fans, it surely makes more sense to inconvenience fewer people.

Kev, I hope you do decide to go to the game, otherwise you could miss a memorable victory!
I stand in the North Stand but would happily stand or even sit anywhere else for one game if I thought the club would benefit from it, which as fans ( and I can't see anyone on here questioning your loyalty) benefits us as theres more money in the coffers for next year or at least the directors don't have to bail us out to a huge degree at the end of the season.
I always used to change ends at half time when we were non-league, but if someone said to me "would you prefer to still be able to change ends and we stay non-league forever" ,I doubt I could justify the huge compromise to the clubs future.
At the end of the day, in just over 12 months, we'll all be stood somewhere else

One match, does it matter where you sit or stand? As long as your watching the game?

I have sympathy for the car wash fans, and I would be livid if we had to give up North Stand for Bradford fans to stand where I do! but I would still want to watch the game, so although I would complain I would still go and show my support to the team on the pitch.

Of all the league 2 sites I'd say they had the most frequently updated site for news. They're a big club didn't you know

I would imagine that the release of the CWT to BCFC will be a contingency, and won't sell them until they have sold all the seats and South Stand tickets. When they're all sold, then they'll sell the overflow tickets. I should think anyway.

It think its important to look at what could happen if the club didn't put these measures in operation.

If the club left Bradfords allocation at just the south stand and a section of the main stand then you may very well find that the CWT gets filled with away supporters anyway. So whether the club allocate the CWT to Bradford officially or not, the chances are it will be filled with Bradford fans who, I would imagine, would outnumber the home fans in that part of the ground. I would hazard a guess that this is the sort of thing that has been discussed by the club and the Police.

Therefore I would suggest that by allocating the CWT to the Bradford supporters the club are ensuring the safety of the CWT season ticket holders and any other home fans who may usually watch from the CWT. The financial benefits are clear to see, but dont forget the clubs obligation to provide a safe environment for all its customers.

Why dont you stand in the car wash stand anyway, just pretend your a bradford fan on your way in.

Looks like we'll sell the whole of the car wash with ease.
Not bad to say we've lost the last 6 away games on the trot.

I noticed that you have sold all the tickets for the Umbro end, so with two weeks to go then i would imagine that the Car wash will probably sell out as well, should be a great atmosphere.

Don't start winding them up, good god we'd be back to how it was on here 10 days ago!

To be fair, some folk might take advantage of a chance for a long weekend, either in Morecambe or just a quick drive to the lakes after the match.
