His appointment has been made due to his extensive knowledge of the National League which his new club feel is imperative in their desire for a quick return to EFL2.
Accrington have financial problems and have got rid of their Academy. The clubs long term owner has relinquished his position but will guarantee £250,000 towards the clubs running costs for next season.
