Adam Lewis I like to see sign but I doubt it he will,he will have better teams than us offering him a contract
Yann I’d like to stay as I can see he has a little coaching ability that could be better used to our advantage
Not sure on Lee, jury’s out, yes top scorer but don’t do a lot and could become injury prone
P Lewis I’d let go offered very little

Very happy with that list apart from Max Taylor I would have kept

Certainly better than last season where we only had 1 or 2 signed up

Let's build and see who Derek brings in

Apparently Derek was at Fylde today

Don't know how, but I'm just glad we are able to start building a squad, just hope we get a goalscorer

As others surprised about Taylor. Does that open the door for a return of Lavelle. :?:

Looks like a completely new midfield which is so badly needed.

Not sure about the goalkeeper. Think we need someone more confident.

Connor Ripley would be ideal.

not Fussed about Lee Angol, based on his injury record, to risky, hopefully he moves on.

Generally happy with the list, even though it wasn't a great squad we desperately need some form of continuity.

Not sure on Adam Lewis, was a bit of a liability defensively but one of the few who had that bit of something extra that could create chances. Think he only really works in a back 5.

Tollitt and Burgoyne also debatable but I'm guessing it was making a certain amount of appearances automatically triggered those extensions.

Surprised we've made an offer to Paul Lewis, didn't do much for me but is an experienced head so maybe beggars can't be choosers.

Not too fussed on those released. Maybe there could have been an argument for Max Taylor. Sad to see Moore and Slew leave as they were players who really got the club.

Good to see a bit of a spine kept. Most weren't quite good enough for L2 but honest grafters who may improve with another year under Derek and a bit more time and space in the NL. Let's hope Angol signs. Could score plenty if he can keep injury free

At times Angol looked as though he didn't want to be at the club. However if he signs then possibly could be excellent in the National League.

Let's see who Derek brings in over the next couple of months

Retained lists are all about opinions

Well if Derek was at Fylde today he wouldn't have seen anything from the Fylde players. Their chairman has even put a message out saying the players they recruited this year just haven't been good enough.

It’s hard to strike a balance between not wanting to start again with no players and not wanting to retain a team who aren’t good enough even for the NL, but I’m mostly happy with the retained list.

Keeping Burgoyne and Paul Lewis are the only two I’m unhappy with. Tollitt and Macadam are not great but could be ok squad players.

Max Taylor might have had something to offer but otherwise not bothered about any of the departures.

I am doubtful that this nucleus of remaining players will compete for promotion but frankly I’d be happy with a mid table team at this stage.

Overall, pretty happy with that. The big three of White, Stott and Hendrie all retained, which is hugely positive. Tutonda hasn't had a great season but has demonstrated his ability enough over the past two years - I think he'd be a very strong player in the NL. Macadam wasn't good at No10 (failed experiment to mould him into that position in the first half of the season) but when played a bit deeper as a more box-to-box midfielder, I thought he was excellent. I think a CM duo of him and White could be pretty decent.

Burgoyne - fine as long as we get a decent (and fit) first choice ahead of him. Similarly with Tollitt - fine as a squad option for a bit of maverick spark off the bench, but we need stronger options ahead of him.

Songo'o I think will be a conversation about whether he feels he's got another year in him - I think he'll likely sign though. I wouldn't have kept Paul Lewis but if he's just a fourth choice CM behind White, Macadam and Songo'o (if he signs), then fine. I'm not fussed about Adam Lewis - quality left boot but I don't think that well suited to us. Needs a side playing attacking wing backs, probably a more dominant/possession based side too. I think he'll get offers elsewhere. Angol I'm curious about - you'd imagine he didn't have great options last summer, given he ended up with us. Has he done enough to turn any heads?

Wouldn't have minded keeping Taylor, but not too bothered to be losing him. Real shame Moore had such bad luck with injuries - could have been set to be a long term goalkeeping solution. Overall no real complaints with those released.

I think there's a pretty strong core there. Here's hoping we're more successful in recruiting a bit of flair/quality this summer. It's a better base to go from than last summer and no embargoes/HMRC nonsense, so theoretically easier for Derek but remaining cautious over the situation!

Not sure if I’d want Ged though didn’t set the league on fire, but a league lower my re-kindle the fire power ???
So maybe worth a punt
But how can DA plan when he has no idea of funds available???

Lee Angol joins the ballers league that's on Sky Sports.
I'd say that's him done at Morecambe as can't imagine Derek going for this.

Lee Angol, very injury prone, not worth the gamble, rather look elswhere.

Think Angol has roots down south, so it was always likely he'd put himself in the market to try and get a contract down there.

I'd be happy to see Angol stay as he'd be a very good player at NL level. Equally, his injury record isn't great and we don't really want to be in a similar situation to last season when we're relying on back-up strikers for half a season.

Also think if he does sign, it would probably be later in the window after he's fully explored his options down south. We'll need to have gotten in a decent starting option before that point ideally.
