Sale soon

Sale soon

Postby glagys » Sat Mar 29, 2025 9:59 am

Fear not guys we’ll probably have new owners very very soon
10points adrift, lose next 2 games & Tranmere win Tuesday that’s 13 points adrift
so relegation bound and the sale will go through
That’s all the PW’s are waiting for,to see which league we’ll be in next season as regards the price
Should we win our next 2 & Tramere lose Tuesday then the EFL will need more information from PW’s ;)
If you see what I mean :D
Just the ramblings of a cynic :D

If they announce the sale just after relegation then it's been managed relegation and that will be one of the biggest scandals in uk football

Have to agree looking at through the eyes of the owner......BUT not through the eyes of DA and the lads in red.

The owner would surely have to reduce his asking price IF we get relegated which makes no sense from a purely financial point of view OR has a deal already been agreed between the parties where by our proposed new owner takes over the Bond Group which has been muted elsewhere.... :?: :?: :?:

I'm all for giving any new owner time to see if he is genuine BUT my fear is that he is another Jason in sheeps clothing.

Starting to think that the parachute payment is part of the bigger plan. Use it to pay off some of the debts and PW can buy it for less money. I doubt that Derek or the Board will get any benefit from the parachute payment for players, ground improvements/costs, etc. Just one more way of asset stripping.

Jason is just getting somebody to pretend they want to buy the club again.

Spot on, typical Whittingham bollocks and we shouldn't believe a word of it.

He can not afford for this boycott to happen so he has to act now and it will stop.

You’d have to assume that the buyers will want to pay less money if we are relegated, so it makes sense that they will not complete the deal until they know which league we are in.

I was under the impression from previous Board Statements that any money such as parachute payments went directly into the club's account and that Jason did not have access to that account and that it was the Boaeds directive that he only took money from that account with their approval.
However it may wellbe the case that the Board dopayJason back from that account for the loans he makes

N'ah. If you were thinking of buying the club, would you buy it now, at League One price, or wait, and if relegated, pay a non-League price? Personally, I'd be waiting now.

Don't get me wrong, I have concerns about the potential new owners too, and don't believe a word Whittingham says, but selling as soon as relegation is confirmed isn't one of them.

So how did that work out then?

The Board seemed to willingly pay all the million pound profit we made in that promotion year to repay debt. Whether that was demanded by Jason or whether it was a voluntary Board decision, we'll never know.

It's also obvious that the Board/Derek didn't get all this season's cup run money to spend on players in January.

Jason may not be able to force the Board to pay over the parachute payment, but he can certainly decide not to pay in further loans of the same amount, so the effect is the same.

It's all smoke and mirrors and sleights of hands. No one is actually telling it as it is, certainly not in public.

Carlisle American owners are reported to have put £10 million into their club since the takeover last season.
Wonder what interest there is on that?

The Guardian reports Panjab Warriors met with the EFL last week, they are committed to buying the Club whatever league they are in. The process is still ongoing according to the EFL.

I’m sceptical about them, but will give them a chance to properly fund the Club. They must be told what it takes to run a modern day football club and fund it to a good level wether it is in the EFL or the National League.

Until it all goes through I will not buy a season ticket for next season, I have thought long and hard about that and it’s a big change from my thoughts earlier this year, but Jason needs to do as he says and sell. If he doesn’t I will not buy that ticket.

If before next season a take over finally happens, I will get that season ticket and be back next season and give the new owners a chance.
