Pretty much agree with that list minus Stuart Moore who is too injury prone. Having said that, it’s hard to be enthusiastic about keeping any of them!

Sadly I don’t think we can retain Moore in goal. He spends too long injured sadly.

Pretty much agree with that list. I imagine we keep one of the keepers but all have their positives and negatives.

Macadam and Cooke have both shown glimpses of quality so I'd also include them.

Ben Tollitt has also been around that level most of his career and I suspect would be more consistent at national league level.

The resigning of Moore, Brown and Edwards cost us big time this season. Massive mistake by somebody at the club last season

Oh I thought Edward’s and Moore were on 2 yr contracts?? Perhaps we should have sold them!!

Brown signed up early before an all the wages kerfuffle, when Ged was the Manager, I don’t think he would have done if it was Derek had taken over.

Agree injury prone Moore has to go, Edward’s unfortunately both injury prone and wages to high.

If anyone wants to stay let’s see who it is. But yes promote a hand full of the youngsters and see how they do.

All got new contracts last season. Did Ben Sadler or Ged Brannan sign them off?

Rather than imaginary finances, realistically, our retained list for next season...

Manager/coaches:
Roche
Wainright (after Academy closes)

Players:
Songo'o
Slew
Snowball
Fairclough
Dackers

Are Songo'o, Slew or any of the first team doing coaching badges?

Dackers is a loan player from Salford so retaining him doesn't apply.

However if released then possibly. He does show potential with a partner and could cause problems in that league but needs to improve dramatically as a striker.

I’m stunned that anyone would consider re-signing a striker who has scored 1 goal in 40 appearances. Dackers has tried his best but his stats epitomise our failure this season.

We will have no manager to resign any of the current squad and why would they want to drop in to non league with us?

I'd love Derek to stay but why would he put himself through another season at this circus? He has been let down at every turn.

Edwards will do his best to get out of his remaining years and I'd be shocked if Moore plays again. This summer will be 10x worse than last summer with the snake still owning the club.

Unless he has another season on his contract, I'd expect him to be released...

I'm suggesting, this is the level of player we are likely to be shopping for. Older players at the end of their career, or cheap young players. I'm not expecting us to have a budget that is competitive in the National League.

They might not want to but the vast majority (maybe even all) of our squad is national league quality and the only reason they currently play in league two is because we were skint and desperate.

Ok some of them have given an ok account of themselves and, given they may be leaving on a free, might have done enough to convince another league two club to pick them up in a backup role but remaining with us in the national league next season will be the best offer a lot of these players will get.

This post is just guess work ... Would love to keep Tom White and build the team round him

The way he talks about the club and supporters is a breath of fresh air

I would make him captain as well

I’m not sure any of our players would be wanted by league two clubs. That said, you could see some of them rejecting us and going to conference north sides for more money and stability…

Sorry I disagree City Shrimp

Quite a few of our players would get in league 2 sides including Stott, Taylor and Hendrie

I never agree with you but I do on this 100% However given our position It's guesswork. Dackers goal record means it's a huge no from me and can't believe people would want him back.

I also think D.A will walk in the summer and it wouldn't surprise me {and it's a no from me) if we approached a certain J.B to come back

I don't mind if you disagree with me Lancaster Shrimp .. Forums are all about opinions

Jimbo coming back wouldn't surprise me either

Would hope Danny Grainger was given a chance though with Yann Songo as assistant

I'm with you both Berlin Waller and and Sandgrown. But. If D.A did go. It wouldn't surprise me if we asked him to come back

Lots of talk of Derek walking out of frustration. You have to understand he will be on every good salary, so is only likely if he gets a better offer. More likely is Jason refuses him a new deal and goes with a cheaper offer

I like the guy..... but he's no manager in fact he's too nice to be a manager....and that hurts for me to be so blunt...

Both the club and JB have moved on.....remember he walked out due to not being offered a new contact with results proving that it was correct at the time.
