Season 2025 / 2026

I seem to remember that nearly all if not all our current squad have an option on them as to a further season.

At least one player is?on a 2 year contract so hopefully finances permitting that the manager will not have to rebuild an entirely new squad.

That manager being of course our very own DA.

I would imagine that those options, if correctly negotiated by the players/agents, would be null and void in the event of relegation.

But you could argue because of the budget the majority of the squuad are not L2 standard and only NL standard anyway

So might not be that hard to retain for next season.

Or we could retain 6-8 if we stay in the EFL, if not I do worry not many will resign as the budget will be drastically reduced and it will be another completely new squad.

Gwion Edwards signed a 2yr deal, which surprised me but in a very pleasing way plus an option for a further year too :D I’m guessing that because the remainder were 12 month deals that it was Gwion himself who wanted this security as he’s coming in to his final few years as a professional player, but lucky us :D :D :D
