O/T Etherent problems

Postby redrobo » Fri Feb 28, 2025 3:58 pm

Any body had or having ethernet connection problems with BT and BT TV..... :?: :?: :?:

The ethernet signal from our BT Hub to our BT TV via Powerline Network Extenders keeps dropping out.

Fortunately BT are sending an engineer to sort the problem out on Monday having spoken to their Tech People this pm.

Hopefully the problem will be sorted and we can continue to use BT TV......fingers crossed... :)

Sounds like someone in Yorkshire when the landlord calls round every Friday!

Eeee, the rent!

Sorry, redrobo, couldn't resist!
My parents seem to be getting it ok, they've had problems in the past, always been a local fault, the nearest wires decaying, that kind of thing. Hope you get it sorted.

All sorted thanks to home visit bt BT TV engineer.

Changed BT Box for new EE box as the BT one was a refurbished model that he has constant problems with.

Evidently BT send out refurbished boxes when client requires a replacement box.

No longer on ethernet connection now on wifi as ethernet was going to have on going problems in our area. Mobile signal almost non existent.

Hopefully all sorted.
