I doubt whether there will be anyone else and we already have Dallas, Dackers, Hope and Angol.

Another midfielder for me. Jones isn't good enough and Cooke has made a massive difference. Another player similar to him wouldn't go a miss.

Hopefully Edwards and Tollit step it up after being bombed out.

Personally I agree we need another Cooke and concentrate on playing more through the middle rather than relying on wide wingers. Tollitt and Edwards are now very obvious in their game plan and easy to defend against. Playing more through the middle, rather than relying on someone running down the edge, as we did yesterday, made a massive difference.

I think we’re fine for central (deeper) midfield now Macadam has shown how much he suits being a bit deeper rather than as an out-and-out 10, like Cooke is. White/Songo’o and Macadam/Jones is a decent set of options.

Depends on what the budget is I guess. Another wide man and another player like Cooke who plays in those attacking midfield areas and pops up in pockets around the box would be good. Not sure what I’d prioritise - think that ultimately depends on how Derek sees his squad shaping up for the rest of the season.

Are we going to play with a similar system in all our matches? Or only at home due to the pitch etc?

If we are to get another player in, is it best to get a bit more quality than quantity? We are covered in positions all over the pitch now, so do we need two players? Do we spend money on two players or just one better quality player that maybe cost that bit more?
We will see by 11:00pm tomorrow but it will be interesting to see which it is because there is talk of no more players coming in as well as talk of up to two, depending who you listen too.
Can you overdo it? look at Carlisle, what a shambles.
No we have a settled squad, they know each other and each others game and seem a squad that does get on with each other. Would bringing in to many new players up set that? Anyone coming in has to settle in right away, like Dallas and Cooke seem to have, but would others?
It will not be an easy ride, we still need a good number of points and if we can win games like the up and coming game against Newport,(we have 10 of the bottom 12 to play yet), beating teams just above us, things can quickly change and we can move up the league.
Myself I’d go for 1 player that has that bit more quality, though if we can get in two youngster like Derek has before from Clubs higher up the pyramid so be it, but they better be prepared to come here and work.

I Club can sign as many loanee’s as they want in the EFL, but they can only have 5 of the loanee’s in a match day squad. I think there are restrictions age and how many you can bring in from the same Club.
I’m sure what ever Derek comes up with it will be fine.

Parent clubs may be desperate to find any club for the players they wish to send out on loan so there is potential that we pick up a real gem today. I could see us maybe dipping into the free agent market in the days and weeks to come too.

Would have expected us to off load at least one before the window closes.....for me it would be Callum Jones who hasn't performed the way we expected...BUT he was at FGR last season as part of their relegation squad. Maybe playing for a relegation threatened team is a psychological thing... :?: :?: :?:

It's been suggested elsewhere that the name of at least one new incomer is known by a number of 'insiders'....no doubt the rest of us mere mortals will find out sometime today... ;)

An on-loan Forward player taking their medical today, let’s hope no last minute hitch and he joins the squad.
Derek says after Sat the squad has been lifted and they are looking forward to try and get back to back wins, with it being Newport they know it a chance to get out of the bottom two and close the gap on other teams not to far ahead.

Do our media team work this late to reveal today? Or will we have to wait until tomorrow....

That’s not really strengthening the squad from what I remember of him while he was here before. Let’s hope he’s more productive this time round if the rumour is right. No stats for 24-25 season!! Has he been playing??

Welcome back Ged. I'd rather him than an unproven 18 year old kid.

So

Dallas
Dakkers
Hope
Angol
Garner
Slew

never seen a Morecambe Squad with so many striker’s, and Derek does like x 2 players for every position, looks like it’s 4 3 3 going forward :D

This time last week I was panicking. Funny how a week can make such a difference.
