Due to be released in June it maybe that we are looking for a deal now rather than wait until the close season... :?: :?: :?:

We don't need defenders we need attacking players

We have been solid at the back ..only conceded 4 goals in last 6 league games

Problem is only scored 3 in the same period

Agree.....but it is possible that DA is already looking towards next season when some of the current squad although on options will decide to go elsewhere.....for me it's a sign of good management looking for the future rather than wait until the close season.

I agree with you RR, it is a sign of good management BUT (note the capitals  ) I don't think we have that luxury. Look at the last 2 end of season clear outs and unless we have a new owner by then it will be the same again this Summer.

If we sign another defender before a striker, I will have a mental break down!!

I can't see the point of Derek planning for next season as he doesn't know which League we will be in, who his boss will be or how much dosh he might have

If we sign a defender it shows what the thinking of Derek and the BOD’s is. Preparing now because you believe you are going to be a national league side next season. I think that will be on the financial side to reduce losses.

I would have hoped in this January window we would still believe we can stay in this league if we sort out goal scoring.

As good as this defender may be I really don’t think next year is on the radar, it’s about giving us the best chance of survival, which has been severely hindered, by signing attacking players.

I certainly have not given up on us surviving, but besides new players, I want to see a change in style of football, 19 games to go let’s give it a go.

As a 19yr old, if he's cheap salary, free signing and potential for the future, then great. He may be one for League Two in the future.

But, obviously, a striker is priority.

Might be too late for Sat, Fri night, but it’s happened before trying to sign a player and the time was missed!!

A lot of hope for somebody coming in before Sunday night and then they can play on Tues night at Newport and that is an important game.

It will be Really bad if they beat us, we have to close the gaps that have opened up and they are in 21st.

I’ve not given up just look at Swindon 10 points out of 15, we have really got to do that and now!
Up the Shrimps.
