Shoot whenever possible

The one thing to improve our goals for tally is to be prepared to have a go by shooting for goal throughout a game.

Most teams have a crack but we seem to want to take that extra pass.

I'll never have go at anybody if they shoot but fail. At least they are having a go .

I’d like to try someone else up front, Tollitt has gone off the boil out on the right, let’s give him a go as our striker. Put Edward’s on the right and Lewis on the left.

There is a gap and we have to get points out of games like last weekend and we have to start doing that this weekend.

When Angol is back fit and up to speed it will help the situation we are in now it looks like no new striker is coming in, (I hope that changes), but I don’t see it.

But yes shoot.

It is a bit of a worrying position we are in, Especially with 4 out of the next 5 games being away from home, we need some attacking finishing, goals, goals, goals, but we have done reasonably well away from home playing how we play. That’s a quandary Derek will be wrestling with, it will be interesting what his team selections will be and the formation of the team, will he go to two up front or stick with the loan striker?

For me it will be the style of football we play that will keep Morecambe in the EFL, as far as I’m concerned there is a big difference between being competitive and consistently winning football games.

Have we been to cautious in our approach hoping to snatch draws or even wins to keep the points total ticking over nicely and unfortunately that approach has failed?
