Kinda scuppered my day there!
Most of December I was helping family out with illness (culminating in a pre-Christmas 28 hour wait in RLI A&E!) & still am.
The game was, unfortunately, way down my list of priorities, but I just presumed that Chelsea or some kind of FA cup/ifollow thing would be showing it, you know, £10 a pop, & I'd get a few beers & popcorn in & put my feet up!
B#gger!

I've been critical of Radio Lancashire's coverage of our club in the past but credit when due and their coverage in Friday nights Sports show was excellent.

Well done to all those who displayed banners relating to our clubs on going saga with the current owner.

Unfortunately from the TV coverage of the game little if any attention was highlighted by the media to our club's plight.

If the boot had been on the other foot say with a Premiership club then the media would have been all over the issue both on the day and afterwards, but because it's little old Morecambe from the North West the media seemed more interested in showing the milk advert and Accrington Stanley and its current ground etc.

Must be of concern to all those who are trying their best to bring notice of our plight to as wide an audience as possible when our club is treated with such disdain and irrelevance.

However to all those who created such an atmosphere throughout the game.....well done..It was certainly heard loud and clear on the live TV Broadcast. 8-)

Fully agree with all this. It was the right venue to show the football world the problems we face but,as with a lot of things, the media and the British public in general are nor really interested about these things until it affects their club unless it is one of 'the big boys'. Great effort 1920 Union! :D

Completely agree. The Trust did get articles published by the Mirror and I Newspapers but the TV arm of the media don't seem interested. That's not a surprise really as they ignored both Macclesfield and Bury until it was too late. They then circled the corpses like vultures to get their stories and to make out they cared,
