Is this really the last game for Liverpool loanee Williams....
If so then we are really up against it unless DA can find a suitable replacement.
Surprised that Liverpool appear not to want him to stay as he's is guaranteed extended game time.
Today's result sees us at the bottom once again.....
Let's hope that DA can work some magic and bring in much needed quality....but somehow feel that our league position will stop clubs loaning us that much needed quality unfortunately.

Max Taylor will have to play against Tranmere if Williams does go

That item by the L.G. does mention 'initial loan' until January. It could be that he wanted to see if he enjoyed his time and match minutes and then to negotiate for the rest of the season.

He's guaranteed game time with us which he may not get elsewhere and as a footballer playing is all they ever want to do. Just hope that he has enjoyed his football despite the results and is looking at the 'long game' for his future as a professional footballer.
It sounds as though all his previous loan deals have not worked out...for whatever reason.

It may not be his decision to make!

I think it will be up to the player and I suspect the loan will be extended.
Let’s be honest, he did really well to make those appearances for Liverpool but he’s not going to go back and break into their first team at 23 years old, having been playing at this level. With that in mind, I don’t think Liverpool will be too fussed about re-loaning him elsewhere to further his development - they’ll be happy just leaving him with us until his contract ends.
For Rhys, it’s a chance to put himself in the shop window. I could see him signing permanently for a league one club in the summer.

Hope you're right. Derek did say a few weeks ago that he had already been in contact with his club.

If he goes back will he play regular football? I think the answer to that is no, 4th choice at best if everyone fit. So a little flurry until others back.
Guaranteed game time with us for rest of year, would that be so bad for the lad, doing well but elements of his game needs polishing, will Morecambe be the best place to polish him up some more?
Would a League One team be an option, at the moment I don’t think he would get guaranteed game time, Championship for me warming the bench, nothing better than game time, is there?
So it’s stay with us, get another 20 plus games under his belt or move him up a league and see how he does, with the hope of plenty of game time!!
I hope he stays and puts in even more work to better himself and help Morecambe stay in the EFL.

If he goes back and is loaned out again he wouldn’t be the first not to get good play time at another club.

In July Liverpool had interest in Williams from clubs in league 1 and in Turkey but his previous injuries seem to hamper the interest so it wouldn’t surprise me if he is actually sold on now he’s had a good half season. As for announcing it, no, why would they when his current loan has not yet expired and equally can’t start a new deal until Jan but I have a feeling he’s off but hope not

I think he will stay. Not set the world on fire but seems settled in the squad. Sure Liverpool will look to move him on in the summer, so maybe a permanent signing in the future?

Not long to go tosee if he's in the pre match warm up which should indicate that he's staying.

If it means letting Williams go to make room for a Center Forward who's not shot shy, then so be it.
