It seems we are back on track with replacing admin staff and other aspects of how the Club is run, the Club Financial Review that has been taking place has published its findings and we are up to date with our HMRC liabilities.

Unbelievable that the statement fails to mention that the club is at risk of a 2 points deduction until 2026 if any more financial incidents occur!

You are making this sound positive. It really is bad news with another suspended points deduction.

My post was not ment to be positive or negative it’s an accurate summary of what is on the Morecambe FC website, that was the sum of starting a new topic.

I have yet to look into the EFL statement myself and many people might know better than me at this time how good or bad the situation is.

Very quickly I want to point out at this time the following:- that the amount in the EFL judgement that Morecambe defaulted on is blanked out (bad), there was five failures to self report!! (also not good) and a suspended 2 point deduction until June 2026 hanging over us for 2 seasons!!! (Very, very bad).

Good news (but not at all)!! Is any further breach this season will mean the deduction will be applied next season (where ever we are)!! Or if a breach is next season it will be applied 2026-2027 season.

So if I read it right and we stay up by say 1 point and a breach occurs we will not have the 2 point penalty taking us down. (I hope I’m right about that.
