O/T - 2034 World Cup in Saudi Arabia

An interesting choice. At least there's the best part of 10 years to prepare for the tournament.

15 Stadiums will be required, of which only 4 exist so far. So plenty of construction work to be done as the well as all the infrastructure to support all that's required. No doubt the vast majority of the labour will be imported and housed in converted shipping containers in the Saudi desert.

The corruption within FIFA knows no depths.

So how did that work out then?

I'm obviously well behind the times......Tourist Visas [as well as Haj] are now available for those interested to go and have a look, must be somat to do with women being allowed to drive. Though I recommend having a good read and then another read of the FCDO Travel Advice for Saudi Arabia.

Just a simple case of keeping on the right side of the harsh laws and punishments. Saudi champagne will be high on the cocktail menu.

No doubt the next 10 years will be full of fun before a ball is kicked,

I don't think David Beckham will be bothered, he'll long be a Knight of the Realm by then.

Seven week tournament, 48 countries. Saudi Arabia waved through without a contest or a hint of scrutiny.

My only hope is ten years is long enough to build the infrastructure and stadiums without thousands of migrants being killed.

According to the FA the Saudis answered all the questions asked. "Do you want this.......and have you got the money?" "Yes". "OK!"

Who would have thought, when Blatter got turfed out of FIFA, that it would actually become more corrupt? Infantino follows the money. Utter scum.
