Tyson Fury

Tyson has lived in Morecambe for about 15 years and has given the town publicity over the years by saying how much he loves living there. He has also been quoted as saying that people should stand on their own two feet. Well I'm sure we are all grateful for his comments in the past about Morecambe but the time has come where I think he could help a little more.

I get it that he is not interested in buying into the club either on his own or with others. Surely we are now showing that the fans are trying hard to 'stand on their own two feet' but we need all the help we can get.

Tyson is a world wide celebrity and, without investing money, he could give the fans a huge helping hand just by supporting our cause and spreading the word across the world.

I still hope fury will get involved at some point, but right now he's preparing for a career defining fight. So, no chance of any help until at least after Christmas

He's not interested. We need to forget him and move on.

I don't think Simon Jordan exactly encouraged him to buy a football club when they were on Talksport together. After Fury expressed an interest in buying Morecambe Jordan told him buying a football club was the quickest way to lose your entire fortune.

This was based on Palace fan Jordan actually buying Palace back in the day and and using his entire fortune (made from mobile phone sales) to take Palace to the Premier League then back down again. He went through approximately £170 million in the process. I've read his book three times now and what a fascinating insight into the inner workings of agents and football dealings it is.

Fury could acquire us for a lot less and run us quite nicely with a fraction of what Jordan spent on Palace. His fortune is also likely to go up substantially with the rematch against Usyk. However he states he is a Man Utd fan and with the amount of money he has amassed I would imagine he could quite easily buy into them if he really wanted a football interest.

As I said above, I quite understand that he doesn't want to buy the club either whole or partially. I'd just like him to consider helping us with publicity particularly in the States.

Tyson is also rumoured to be "re-locating" to the Isle of Man for tax haven reasons, so he'll need as few ties to the UK as possible to try to make it look like he's genuinely left the UK and relocated to IOM! If he has too many ties to the UK, it will make HMRC think it's all a scam just to avoid UK taxes (which of course it is!).

Surely not

Anyway he could give Morecambe a leaving present by helping to publicise our plight. ;) If he does come your way Keith we'll rely on you to sort it out.

Actually, wouldn't be a problem. Leeds were (are?) owned by an IoM resident, as were PNE.

Billionaire Jim Ratcliffe, the Brexit campaign funder, who took Welsh government grants for the development of the Grenadier 4x4, while promising to make it in Wales, but then, post Brexit, realised he couldn't sell it in Europe, so makes it in France, before he buggered off to Monaco to avoid paying UK tax... ...has set up an Isle of Man company, which owns Man Utd.

Fury had a look at renting Whittaker's place near Castletown earlier in the year. Whittaker owns Heysham Harbour, among lots of other stuff.
“Britain faces a simple and inescapable choice - stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband: ".

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?
