The weakness of the EFL is that it is run by the self interest of the owners and directors of the Clubs and not the Clubs or their fans. The reason is because six of the 10 EFL DIRECTORS are directors from EFL Clubs, 3 from the Championship, 2 from League 1 and 1 from League 2. The question is, are they really going to be hard on owners until as in some cases it’s been to late.
It has to be independent to properly protect Clubs and fans from bad owners and directors. You only have to look at the rules and how ineptly they are applied, when things are not going well at a individual club because of bad ownership, as we know from experience, the fail to see it, a fully independent body with proper teeth is need. Again good work on this issue Lizzy
