If you're planning on train travel tomorrow to and from Crewe then I'd take a sleeping bag......travelling by train in this country is an absolute shambles.

As it stands, to summarise...

The 09:58 & 10:57 Lancaster to Crewe are both cancelled. There is still an 11:41 to Preston which connects with a 12:18 to Crewe, as well as the 12:56 Lancaster to Crewe being the latest one in time for kick off.

The 18:09 Crewe to Lancaster & 20:41 Preston to Lancaster both terminate at Preston. There are later services from Preston after these two arrive. The 17:09 Crewe to Lancaster is currently still running as scheduled.

The 19:09 Crewe to Lancaster & 21:04 Crewe to Preston are both cancelled.

The fact that it's thought acceptable to be told a train starting in Preston terminates in Preston shows what a shambles our rail network is in. I'll be keeping.my fingers crossed the 1506 from Ulverston gets into Carnforth a pint of beer ahead of the Leeds - Morecambe service.

I'm just summarising the basic details, Brian. It does start at London Euston but doesn't call at Crewe. Some fans might have been planning to stop off at Wigan or Preston for a pint or three and catch it from there.

One of the London - Glasgow trains which doesn't normally call at Crewe is doing so additionally today at 18:59 because of the other alterations. It's then due into Lancaster at 19:55.

Not sure if I'll get the chance to share any further info if there is any, so anyone interested should make sure they check themselves.

Last season a group of us had to have an argument with stewards to let us out in time to catch the 17.09. Had to involve police who made them see sense. Hope it doesn’t happen again.

We're in for five years of industrial action across many sectors because the unions will see Labour as a soft touch, after all, it's unions who finance the Labour party! As soon as the Govt bend over for one union, another will want the same and then the first will come back wanting more! It's the Labour way.

They have... The ballot closes on 18th September but there's still a shortage of staff which will take some time to resolve, but that's not the fault of the existing staff!

Well at least the railway issue has been resolved, so the service will improve in due course.

Whereas, the Conservative party, funded by high-wealthy contributors from the banking sectors, or tax evaders, such as Lord Rothermere, whose non-dom for tax purposes, or his Daily Mail group, which, as we all know, is a Bermudian news group, so doesn't pay UK taxes, only had the interests of the super-wealthy at heart?
