Surely with the form that Barry Roche is in it won't be long before he gets a called up to the Scotland squad.

Isn't he Polish? I thought we only signed him to attract Polish fans down to Christie Park? That's what Sgt Major told me anyway...

Well you are all wrong he is a FROG....or his ancestors could have been, then again this might not be correct,he could be Swiss.
The name Roche in Ireland is of Norman origin being derived from the name de Roiste, taken from a French word meaning 'rock'. The name was originally prominent in County Wexford but is now quite widespread, demonstrated by the fact that there are sixteen placenames called Rochestown throughout Ireland.

THE ROCK Just about sums him up...That's it "Barry The Rock" from now on..

Perhaps we should incorporate his Anglo-French ancestry and call him "Barry de Rock.

It also suggests he's hewn from a large slab of granite.
