Morecambe 1 [Brown] FGR 2 LIVE thread

What party? Is more like a wake. We're making them look like world beaters. They even have us a goal start! Woeful performance. The sooner Ged goes back to accy the better. Also where was the minutes silence for a former ex player and manager? Goes from bad to worse

I've been down in Kent to watch my step-grandson win the Kent School's FA U17 Cup with his school...those lads showed more commitment and skill than has been on show so far at The Mazuma...

But you'd expect him to at least be on the bench, unless injured or 'something else'. Is he out of contract at Barrow in the summer?

I have nothing against Ged what so ever and he's been up against a lot

But I'm afraid results haven't been good enough and it's a results business

FGR look more likely to score again than we do. Lost the plot after scoring first. This has got to be as bad as it gets. Embarrassing performance!

For a few minutes after scoring, I thought we were going to win easily. Then we fell apart and FGR made us look like the relegated side, not them. We've been poor today.

I don't worry about that, individually, most of them are reasonable League Two quality players. I think psychologically we've had the heart ripped out of us. I'd certainly rather have ten players signed up, than just the one we've got at the moment.

They have played like a team fighting to avoid relegation. We have played like a team that has just met each other. Since they got in front they have controlled the game.

Probably the most embarrassing defeat of all the other home defeats this season.

Certainly hope 2024 - 2025 is better

Can't be any worse that this season

The 4 teams who came down from league 1 last season have not faired that great apart from Mk Dons

Mk Dons 4th
Morecambe 16th
Accrington 18th
Forest Green 24th

Oh yes it can! If we manage to get a team together for next season I'll be siding with the bookies' odds for our relegation unless we get the ownership sorted by then.

That was more like a pre season friendly!! It was so flat and it's like noone could be arsed.

The 10 contract offers worry me as we don't have 10 players that are good enough.

I worry Geds recruitment won't be as good as Derek's/Greg they seemed to have a back of getting these great young lads on loan from big clubs has ged got the same contacts to be able to do the same?

We look a disorganised side with little motivation. Not sure Ged is management material. There’s a world of difference between being a good coach and a good manager.

No young lads? When you have a holding player players in the team you need them to be regimental in what they do. Both Love and Khumbeni all over the place, but that’s been who ever has played in that roll for the last 16 games. King was very good at being the holding player by just being, well a holding player!, win the ball, then lay it off, in most cases forward. Now it we don’t win the ball and when we do it’s backwards. It’s Ged Ball and it’s not working other teams worked out Morecambe in February!!
