Being in 9th place after 38 games by which point the league table definitely doesn’t lie, Gillingham are a moderately good league two side, but we do have home advantage and they have to travel a very long way. So, not the toughest assignment on paper. Nevertheless, I’d be surprised if we took a point. 3-0 defeat.

Actually I take that back, past form is not necessarily a reliable indicator of future performance. But I’m still sticking with my 3-0 prediction

Forecasting that we were going to lose at Salford didn't help the team at all so we'll try something else.

Morecambe to win 2-1.

One thing I am getting bored of (not necessarily on this thread) is this “every game is a tough game in league two” line that gets trotted out relentlessly. Well yeah it obviously is if you aren’t very good, but the better teams do seem to get their fair share of routine wins and even some of the not so good teams do as well (there have been a few against us for example). As with most professional leagues in most professional sports, the difference in standard between top and bottom is not as huge as it would be in an amateur setting and if the stars align on a particular day, the teams at the bottom can and do occasionally beat the teams at the top. But we do seem to do more than our fair share of talking up the opposition. All part of being “little [old] morecambe” I guess.

This feels like the make or break game for playoffs this season. We win, we're in with a shot, but I think if we lose, that's it for playoffs this season. We can finish out the season and enjoy a strong table position.

I'm thinking 3-1 win for us.

Looking at Wrexham, Newport and Salford in isolation. We've been abysmal. 11 goals conceded in 3 games.

Wheels have well and truly fell off and I can't see how we win a game in our current state. It's not the end of the world, we're safe but I really think this season will fizzle out a bit now and we'll reset in the summer.

Morecambe 0-2 Gillingham

If Rawson is back then I think we may scrape a win 2-1. Without him a loss 3-1 loss.

Mrs A says 3-2 Morecambe win

May not be true anymore but I always remember them as a dirty side, particularly under Hessenthaler, so given our refereeing record, we'll probably end up with 8 men.

Weather could be the winner tomorrow - 40 mph winds due for most of the day especially around kick off time
