O/T strange place names

following a feature run on tonights thye one show in which they visited a part of Cardiff named Splot got me thinging about the stragest place names I have been to I fird one that srring to mind is that place in Wales with the longest name in the world (no i'm not going to try and spell it :lol: )

I've never been there but apparently Twatt in the Shetland Isles is wonderful.

I guess the Austrian place would be pronounced....FOOKING, but still an embarrasing place to live.

I always thought that Raith sounded like a weird name for a footy team but of course it's not a place name (they did not dance in the streets of Raith when they won the league cup in the 90s)

My favourite name place that sounds a bit odd is PENISTONE in Yorkshire. :D

(Sounds rather painful!!!)

Of course there's always Keith ;)

as well as Arnold, Stanley, Dudley, Ashley, Barney, Barry and not forgetting Shirley.

Not only towns dotted around Britain, but also happen to be the real names of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs! :lol:

Ironically enough there's a place in Germany, near Bayern called Wank, obviously the natives are Wankers. :twisted: :lol: :lol:

Also near the village of California in Norfolk (I kid you not), is another place called Scratby, which sounds a very itchy place to live.
