Really? Prior to appointing Jim, I couldn't have told you what league they were in! I think of Southport & City as similar to Kendal, just another local non-league team. I don't mind seeing them do well, because they are not rivals as far as I'm concerned.

The only people who think City are rivals for us are the City fans. I believe they still sing songs about us which I suppose is quite flattering.

Southport were rivals until the 2006/07 season.

Accrington and Barrow are our rivals these days.

Jimbo was sent off in Southport's latest game v Tamworth. Evidently he held up play by diverting the ball away from the Southport bench.

The matchday referee booked a total of 12 players on the day none of them for dangerous play but for questioning decisions and taking too long at throw ins.

Evidently he was following the new guidelines without any discretion whatsoever.

In the League, yes.

Beaten in the FA Cup by lower league opposition but it’s great to see Jim doing a great job there.

Pretty sure it was a very much second string Chesterfield side that put 6 past them? If we are being factually correct and all that jazz.

Southport gave him a new contract to the Summer of 2026 when they were winning games as they were worried about him being poached.

Their results of late have been shocking but he should survive as long as results pick up.
