checking ground guide shows rotherham are now playing at the don valley stadium,not the ground we went to last year,is this correct and waht happenend to the old ground

Yes it's definately correct - not sure what happened - think they had a dispute with the landlord of the old ground and were kicked out - The Don Valley should be a novel experience although I understand the pitch is a long way from the stands with a running track around it so atmoshpere might not be great - unless we win of course!

The old Rotherham ground (Millmoor)was surrounded by scrapyards.

They could have run out to the theme tune from "Steptoe and Son".

The grounds ok if your in the main stand but the rest of it is blocks of seating spread out in the open miles from the pitch just hope it doesn't rain as there is no shelter and you really are iopen to the elements.

Plenty of area for the players to warm up

The away enclosure is the first covered seating section you can see in the picture on the link which is actually detached from the rest of the large main stand. If you sit towards the back the view isn't all that bad as you are quite high up. There is also a excellent bar under that section of the enclosure specifically for away supporters which if i remember rightly had sky sports on the large screens dotted about the place. It also has a decent food section next to the bar. It really isn't as bad as it looks, all the open seating sections are closed off with the Rotherham fans housed in the large main stand to the left of the away enclosure. If you don't fancy a pint in the bar under the stand there are two decent pubs directly opposite the away turnstiles no more than a stones throw away which both allow visiting fans in. Not a bad day out at all.

Have your attendances dropped much since you moved? or has it not affected you that much.

I wouldn't have thought there would be a massive difference as it's still close to Rotherham (one stop on the train to Meadowhall and I have even walked from Millmoor to Meadowhall)
