Oh, the memories. You could peer over the top if you were passing on matchday. Wasn't the best atmosphere though. Couldn't wait till half time though and make some noise under the opposite end.

Don`t know what year the MORECAMBE FC was painted on the wall but i helped paint that !!!!

Must have been painted not too long before demolition which would be around 1997 as the new North Stand was opened in 1998.

I think it was painted one or two years before our promotion season to the conference. I think the wall was new too as I seem to remember it being corrugated iron at the back in the early 90s

Three of us planned and painted the lettering starting early on Cup Final Day in 1993, Si and Bart marked it all out and I followed behind painting the letters. We stopped for the final, went back out and finished it by 6pm.

I always thought that it looked really smart from the away end. In those days when you could change ends at half time :lol:
