sounded like a good game and one we could have won. but a point against a top 3 team is very good. and now 8 games undefeated

and the teams below us; darlington, chesterfield and lincoln all dropped points

and so did daganem

Good proformance by us hunter drummond wainwright and all the back 4 played well
Duffy was impersive what we saw of him but at the end we dident have anough players in the box there were two nice crosses from duffy and yates and we didn't have anyone in the box good proformance though solid at the back

The lads played well, lacked a cutting edge up front tho, can see why WW have only had 20 goals against them in 30 odd games, 11 men behind the ball at every chance.

....as did, looking further afield, Bradford (who got tonked once again! ) and Shrewsbury, bringing us just 6 points off the final play-off place.

I thought that the fans played a big part today as so did morecambe with a good performance.

Thought we played well today.

Wycombe got exactly what they came for. It's a good sign when a team at the top is happy to play out a draw against us.

Neither side created much up front, but it was not a bad game.

Thought Hunter just about deserved his man of the match - I'm not his greatest fan; I've always thought he makes a good second half substitute, but tends to drift out of matches when in the starting lineup. But today he played well throughout. No doubt his confidence was high after Tuesday.

Yet again, Danny Adams had a brilliant game in defence. He's looked really sharp of late.

We could have sneaked a win, but I think it's a fair result in the end.

Agree with most of the above. Danny Adams was my MotM by a whisker, but I wouldn't ague against Gary Hunter getting it. He looked very confident, passing & tackling well and a couple of long shots too. We were the better team but they were very hard to break down.

Very entertaining 0-0, hopefully everyone will come back for more.

What a good team performance. Ok, we didn't test their keeper anywhere near enough (mainly down to their back four, who where brilliantly organised), but each player worked the proverbials off. Garry Hunter deserved man of the match but if the sponsors had named any other outfield player I wouldn't of disagreed. Well done lads. Worth the entrance fee and a bit more just for Wainright dancing round their two lads in the corner during the first half.

.....we just lacked that extra bit of quality up front to unlock the best defence in the league.

Badly needed an out and out striker today.

Such a pity that Rene was out and that Taylor wasn't brought on with 20 to go to knock in his usual goal.

Mr Duffy looks full of confidence and showed he's not afraid to run at a defence. Neil W worked his socks off and was taken off due to being probably knackered!

Are we the only club this season not to have lost both of our games against Wycombe?

:) :) :)

Well, if they'd given it to Roche, I would have disagreed, he barely had a save to make, which speaks volumes about how good our defence was too!

...also suggests how inept they are up front which their radio team behind us in the stand freely acknowledged.

It's only their excellent defence that has got them where they are.

Just imagine if we hadn't conceeded some silly goals that season where we could have been... :?: :?: :?:

Possession stats: MFC 48% WW 52%...... :o :o :o

Very entertaining game and a great do in the North Stand, first time in a long time we've been singing most of the game, especially in the first half! Thought we played well defensively against a relatively threatening attack - they seemed to always want to get past us, but we were consistent unlike our usual performances where we slip up a few times.

We were certainly lacking up front though. At least one of the strikers needs to be a big man, and in my opinion O'Carroll and Twiss are too similar players, and Curtis didn't get forward enough.

I was very impressed by my first viewing of Duffy and the gumption he showed when he came on. Fair enough he came on when most other players were getting a bit tired but he's showing great promise and, given the head of Taylor to aim at, could be a fantastic acquisition for us.

One pet peeve I have though is when, at 4.45pm (NOT the final whistle), before extra time or even the MOTM had been announced, a prominent member of this board upped sticks and left, not even stopping to watch from the corner, missing possible last-minute goalmouth action and neglecting to support the lads for the full 95. If you want to beat the traffic that badly park on Beaufort Road!

Quite a dull game really with very few chances. Was very impressed by their captain McCracken who organised the back line really well and won everything in the air.

Ref had a poor game with some bizarre decisions re yellow cards. The guy who pushed Gaz into the perimeter wall was reckless at times!!

Thought Adams and Drummy played well as did Wainwright and Hunter. Duffy has pace and a good shot on him. Does he not play more centrally as well?

Great support from the North Stand throughout made for a good atmosphere too. :)

An excellent result against a team looking for an automatic promotion place, thought the defence all had good games but special mention must go to Danny Adams who's reading of the game was spot on. Garry Hunter covered a lot of ground and just about deserved his man of the match and could have nicked us all three points with his shot that dropped just over. I also thought that ocarroll lead the line well and showed good awareness in bringing other players into play so all in all a good days work. Bring on the next game and keep this roll going

Adams was immense today. Wonder how many people are glad we didn't get shot of him after the over reaction to a couple of poor performances earlier in the season.

Super atmosphere today. Amazing what a bit of confidence does to a team and it's supporters. Long may it continue.

You can tell we're doing well - very quiet on here at the moment!

We did lack that quality in the final third but so did Wycombe. You can see why they have conceded the least and scored the least. We weren't quite good enough to break them down but they couldn't break us down.

It was good to see us try and get on the front foot and take the game to them and for me we dominated the play at times but we just didn't quite have that cutting edge.

Duffy looked good and that cross he made across the 6 yard line was fantastic but not one Morecambe player was there (did you see sammy go mad as he did a few times).

Adams was my MOTM some of the tackles he made were superb and he also looks like he has lost some weight also thought Drummond worked hard although it didn't always come off for him and the same with Wainwright.

I do think however we need to look at our options upfront as we didn't have any creativity in that dept and noone in the box when we needed them. I couldn't help think Taylor would be stood in the box at the right time when it mattered.

Once again we have taken points off a top 7 side which is great and I think we will have a big say in who finishes in the top 7 as we have to play a lot of the teams.

I agree about man of the match. Danny Adams made some superb tackles and interceptions.

Hmm I wonder who that could be???

It's more than a pet peeve for me, it's a real annoyance. Ok so these people have paid their entrance fee's. fair enough go when you like, but if you're going to bugger off with ten minutes to go, your opinion means diddly squat to me.

Good performance all round yesterday just missing a good quality Centre Forward( and Thomo) :D and we would have taken all 3 pts.Their defence were all big lads and well organised, in fact nearly the whole team were 6 footers.Garry Hunter defo M.of M for me he could have quite easily sat back after that crazy yellow early in the game but kept putting the tackles in . Im sorry but i just cant see why most people on here keep selecting Danny Adams for MoM , he may be ok defensively but poor old N.Wainy runs his bollocks off down that wing and gets no support at all, time and time again he had to take on 2 or 3 defenders just to get a cross in. I think if this game had been played a couple of weeks ago, then their No 8 (Benson maybe ) would have been nominated for Best Male Actor at the Oscars , he couldn,t have dived any better off a springboard than when he almost made contact with Wayne and wasn,t even booked right under the ref,s nose. I think the pitch is in poor condition at the moment and those bobbles caught a few players out yesterday and im sure Drummy is going to use that excuse for his Shank, even though it did go to D.A but was meant for N.W

They vote for Danny Adams as MOTM because his covering and tackles yesterday saved us from conceding a couple of goals.

Rotherham have drawn twice, Grimsby drew at home and beat them away :o

There are at least 6 other teams who did'nt lose to them 1st time round :ugeek:

How did Shrewsbury managed to score 7 against them :? They lost 2 .0 at Ebbsfleet as well remember.
