Shame - I thought Dylan had a bit to offer, if only from the bench. I’d have kept him ahead of Arthur.

Unless players have another club lined up they won't agree to cancel their contracts without a financial settlement.

Fane has gone abroad.

Connolly must have a club to go to.

I think there’d been rumours of Connolly going back to Ireland.

Duffus is presumably still injured so won’t be going anywhere. McLachlan surely the most likely to be off, given he’s had virtually no game time.

McLoughlin is not a bad player either, he shouldn't have too much trouble finding another club.

Suspect Obika is likely on high wages and has offered very little in his time here so may be a difficult one to shift.

If Connolly could sort out crossing & finishing, he'd be terrific. Unfortunately, while his pace & dribbling got him in to good positions, the end product was lacking. Good luck to the lad.

I would love another forward but with Hunter back and Taylor out I wonder if he will look to sure up Centre Mid (Despite the Ginger Pirlo's performances).

I agree Obika will be the tough one. Only hope is someone in Scotland takes a punt. Bet Derek would drive him up there himself.

We also have 5 centre backs now and Melbourne capable of filling in as part of a 3. He has performed when asked this season but I wouldn't mind getting O Connor of the books now.

With the contracts of Duffus, Obika, and McCloughlin being up at the end of the season, D.A could be thinking of trying to get finance, pay them all up early, and try and sign the four loan youngsters on permanent contracts. The one I find curious is Ryan Cooney. Transfer listed at the end of last season, yet getting regular starts most weeks. I do hope he is staying.

I'd love that to happen, but I can't see it. I will be happy enough if they simply remain with us until the end of the season and not be recalled to go on loan somewhere higher.

Can't see any of the four young lads we have on loan being made available to sign - think there parent clubs have sent them to gain experience and to develop them. All four look like they could be playing at a higher level already. Hard to believe that Jensen Weir and Liam Shaw are 20 and 21 respectively; both are more than holding their own.

Interestingly, the average age of the starting XI on Saturday was just 23! If you exclude Connor Ripley in goal, that drops to 22.

Not one for this window perhaps, but I personally don't think we will be seeing much of Adam Mayor after this season. He is now starting regularly in League One at just 17, and has the ability and physique beyond his years. Surly he is attracting attention already - and is much further along in terms of progression than Carlos Mendes Gomes was at a similar age. Great move by the club giving him a three year contract.

In terms of the players deemed surplus to requirements at the start of the season, both Delaney and Cooney have forced their way back into contention. Happy for both, but particularly for Delaney - an experienced player at the level who Stephen Robinson completely ruined. Conversely, both Connolly and Fane - who Derek did give new deals to in the summer - have now left.

Connolly was given an 18 month contract by Robbo, and Fane was announced as under contract in the retained list so I don't know if he maybe triggered an extension clause through appearances etc?

Agree that a centre mid might be on the radar. With Taylor injured and McLoughlin nowhere near the matchday squad it seems, we're very light there beyond our current starters. I wouldn't mind AOC as backup for Gibson at DM if we're not able to shift him, but definitely need more back-up to Weir/Shaw. I think we're probably ok in terms of personnel/numbers going forward with Stockton, Phillips, Hunter, Watts, Mayor and Gnahoua. I do feel a bit for Obika - everything's just gone completely against him since signing. Major injury, Stockton being undroppable, change of manager. Just how football goes sometimes, hopefully he's able to find another club to move onto soon.

Can't see us paying up people's contracts or signing any of the loan players permanently, it seems like they've all got potential for a future at their parent clubs or higher up the pyramid. The mutual consent thing won't be paying up, it'll be because the player has found a deal elsewhere - eg, Fane has gone back to Malaysia and Connolly is rumoured to be off to Ireland.

That's why I will be glad to see the end of this transfer window with them all still with us. I hope the parent clubs don't think they could go on loan to a Championship side. And Mayor, I agree, will be off soon.

Some rumours about A O'Connor going to Harrogate.

Could be something in this with the signing of Simeu

Just thinking that we may not even be paying much (if anything) for Simeu given it's a loan. 2 contracts in Fane and Connolly off the books could mean the money is already available to bring in an extra man even before anymore go out.

O'Connor to Harrogate confirmed (subject to medical). Good luck to him, a decent player.

I meant as well as Crowley. Although who knows how much we were paying Fane and Connolly, their combined salaries might be what was needed to pay for Crowley and cover an amount of Simeu's wages.

O'Connor off the books should cover the wage of a decent player though, long been suggested he's one of our higher earners.

There's a website that lists players wages (don't know how true it is). I'm hoping this wage saving will mean we can bring a striker in...

If a player is offered less money at another team would we need to pay the difference?
